Chikka inks advertising deal with JobStreet.com

Chikka Asia, Inc. – the creators of the popular mobile instant messenger Chikka Messenger, forged an advertising partnership with JobStreet.com – Asia’s leading online recruitment and career site. JobStreet.com will be running a campaign to promote over 35,000 jobs on Chikka Messenger.

“We are very proud to be part of Jobstreet.com’s campaign. We will share this great news to Chikka country, a worldwide Filipino online community; today’s digital generation,” said Chito Bustamante, Chikka chief executive officer (CEO). Chikka’s advertising platforms on the web-based and downloadable Chikka Messenger generates an average of 52 million impressions. Half of these impressions came from users in the Philippines.

JobStreet.com’s campaign aims to encourage employers and jobseekers to sign up for the service in the coming months. “The rate of unemployment in the Philippines has improved greatly from an all time high of 12% in 2005, down to an estimated 8% this year,” said Grace Colet, country manager of JobStreet.com Philippines. “We hope that through our efforts, and this partnership with Chikka, we will be able to offer our services to a wider audience, and find the best matches for skill sets and available jobs in the market,” she added.

JobStreet.com’s service was introduced in 1995 and has since then established itself as the Asia-Pacific’s top recruitment website by offering easily utilized services to aid both jobseekers and employers worldwide. Through their innovation, recruitment departments can now do away with the conventional time-consuming application assessment and instead make it easier for employers and jobseekers to explore the wide availability of talents and companies online.
