Chikka, Google Talk Interconnect

Welcome your new buddies from Google Talk!

Yup, Chikka Country now connects to the Google Talk community and vice-versa.

For Chikka users, simply enter the Gmail address of the person you want to chat with in the Send Message window of your Chikka client and wait for them to accept your invitation to chat.

On Google Talk, add a Chikka user by clicking on Add Friend, and type in your friend’s <Chikka ID>@chikkatalk.com (for example: 639171234567@chikkatalk.com). Your Chikka buddy will now appear in your Google Talk buddy list. Then simply double-click on your buddy’s name to send a message. It’s that easy!

Google Talk, Google’s downloadable Windows application is preferred by millions of on-line users to to talk or send instant messages over the Internet to their friends for free. Meanwhile Chikka’s mobile instant messaging service is in wide use by a community that likes to send text and MMS messages to mobile users in countries like the US, Guam, Philippines, India, and Thailand.

The Chikka-Google Talk interconnection is made possible under a federation of communication service providers promoted by Google, to interconnect with Google Talk and bring popular messaging communities together.
